Travis Taylor
(One of the youngest award winning choreographer and instructor)
Dj'ay - Competitor - Choreographer - Instructor - Adjudicator

My name is Travis Taylor. I was born on 27th of October in 1992. I live in Gunnedah (The koala capital of the world), a rural town just 45mins from the Country Music Capital Tamworth. I attend Gunnedah High School where I am studying for a HSC (Higher School Certificate). My mother Vicki is a registered nurse and my father  Col is a Singer and DJ.

I first started line dancing at the age of 4 with my mother Vicki under the teaching of Doris Holledge of Gunnedah Bootscooters in mid 90’s & I have not looked back since.

My passion for choreography was first realized when I was 9 years of age and since then I have choreographed 8 awarded dances with 5 of those winning dances in various Australian Competitions. I love to choreograph dances with other “Professionals” because it gives me a chance to get their perspective and learning various techniques to become a better dancer & choreographer through the early stage of choreography. I have co-written dances with the likes of Kevin & Maria Smith, Adrian Lefebour, Linda & Mitchell Burgess, Simon Ward, Philip Sobrielo and Mark & Kate Simpkin.

I have been dancing with Mark & Kate (Southern Cross) for two years now and have never looked back. They are really a great group of people (who know how to have a lot of fun) and whom I consider my extended family.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my friends and family, partying, having lots of fun and just out and about enjoying life.

I enjoy travelling and meeting new people either with dancing or life in general.

Line dance is and always will be a huge part of me & I have made so many friends over the 10+ years I’ve been line dancing… I intend to travel as much as I can to meet new people and share my talent with them, on and off the dance floor.
